School Tour to Krakow

Mar 03 2017

What a trip to Kraków!

68 pairs of very tired feet after 3 days of exploring this very interesting city and surrounding area.
On day 1 we were amazed and horrified by the concentration camp at Auschwitz/ BIrkenau- a grim reminder of the Holocaust. That afternoon we recharged the batteries with a wonderful trampolining session. After dinner in the evening, it was straight to the ice rink for more activity and great fun on the ice.
Day 2 saw us up bright and early to make the short trip to the Wieliczka salt mine where we were enthralled by its underground world, including a chapel, lakes and a ballroom. After stopping in the old town to enjoy lunch, we headed to the huge Gallaria shopping centre to spend a few Zloty! After our evening meal at the hotel, we headed for the bowling alley and finished the day on a high.
Our final day in Poland involved a tour of the Jewish quarter of Kraków and of the immense Wawel castle. Following our final lunch in the old part of the city and some more shopping, we packed our bags and headed for the airport.. Many thanks to tour organiser Mr Carroll as well as Mr O Connor, Ms Lane/Garel and Mrs Fitzgerald who went on the trip.

We'll all be back some day 👍

Do zobaczenia 🇵🇱❤
