Transition Years students spent a very enjoyable day at the Munster Driving School doing a Drivers Ed course. Students got to complete a practice theory test, hone their driving skills on the extensive driving track and learn practical skills like changing a tyre. A very enjoyable day was had by all.
Transition Year students are currently visiting Araglen House to interact with the residents. This is a very enjoyable experience as they get to speak, play games and read with the residents.
On the 1st of December , TY's took part in a wheelchair basketball competition in University College Cork. This involved students playing basketball in wheelchairs against other schools. It was a really enjoyable day.
On February 8th the TY students along with 4th years traveled to Amsterdam , Holland. They got many tours of the biggest attractions of Amsterdam. They traveled home on the 11th of February. Everyone was delighted they went.
TY's are currently undertaking self-defense classes. We are being taught basic skills needed to defend yourself. This is a very enjoyable and energetic workout.
On the 19th of December the TY students traveled to Newmarket boy's and girl's school to sing Christmas carols for all the students. Afterwards we visited Teach Altra and Araglen House Nursing homes. Everyone really enjoyed the day.
On the 8th of December the TY students took part in a Santa Dash in Kanturk. Students dressed up as Santa and did a 4k run. They really enjoyed the day.
Outstanding success for Boherbue Comprehensive School in this years County and Munster Colleges Handball competitions. Congratulations to Cathal Ducey, Shane o Riordan, Eoghan Daly, Evan Enright, Dan Sheehan, Aidan Linehan and Darragh Ducey who all brought home gold medals.
