The season kicked off on March the 7th and the girls played teams from Charleville, Kanturk, Mallow and Fermoy.  Most of the girls had never played competitive basketball before so competing in "C" grade was going to be a difficult challenge. However the girls trained diligently since Christmas and were determined to do their best.  

The final game of the season took place in Colaiste an Chraoibhin, Fermoy.  The first years played first and came up against a strong team and lost.  The 2nd years took to the court with a real sense of determination from the very beginning.  They emerged victorious after a hard fought game on a scoreline of 23 to 18.  Mrs Fitzgerald wishes to thank all of the girls for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the season.
