First Aid course: Transition Years have just completed a two day certified First Aid course which covered Life Saving Emergency Aid. They learned to treat minor Injuries like cuts , burns , scalds, and a demonstration of how a defibrillator works.  A very enjoyable and worthwhile course.

Mini Company Trade Fair:  Transition Years recently attended their final Mini-Company Trade Fair in Mallow on the 14th of March. It was a brilliant day out, but they unfortunately didn't get any prize. Much thanks is due to their teacher Ms Murphy for her hard work and dedication.

Build a Bank: "Ghostbankers" the Build a Bank team from our school recently went to the Silver Springs hotel in Cork for their regional finals. Although they put in a lot of work, they were unlucky to not advance to the national final in Dublin.

World Climate Change had a workshop open to 5 schools in the Millstreet Prayer building on the 23rd of March. 10 lucky students went and learned about climate change and the work of Trocaire. They had a great day out with their teacher Ms O Donoghue.

Work Experience. TYs will attend their 2nd week of Work Experience from April the 3rd to April the 7th inclusive.. Hopefully they will have an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Many thanks to the employers who take students on work experience each year.
