Chemistry students from 4th and 5th year had a great opportunity today 11/12/17 to solve a murder case CSI style with the great resource supplied through UCC and RSC 'Spectroscopy in a Suitcase'.  This resource enables students to use equipment including an Infra-Red Spectrometer and a UV Spectrometer, which students usually would not have access to until college. Our students really enjoyed completing the set tasks and benefited greatly from this visit by UCC. Many thanks to our Chemistry teacher Ms Hamilton who organised the visit.
