Welcome for new School Principal

The Board of Management of An Scoil Chuimsitheach, An Bóthar Buí has announced the appointment of Ms Vera Leader as Principal.

Ms Leader is a native of Kilcorney and a graduate of UCC and UCD. She has over twenty years’ experience in teaching having worked in Beara Community School and in the  Patrician Academy, Mallow. Ms Leader was an Assistant Principal and twice served as acting Deputy Principal of the Patrician Academy, Mallow.

Welcoming the Appointment of Ms Leader, retiring Principal Mary O Keeffe congratulated Ms Leader and wishes her well as she prepares to lead the school. Ms Leader said that she is looking forward to working with the staff, students and parents to ensure that all student needs are met and that all students are encouraged and supported to reach their potential.   It is she said "a school ~ where educational excellence is found in a truly caring environment".
