All of us here in Boherbue Comprehensive School would like to wish James Aspell Punch (2nd year) the very best of luck as he heads to Derby in the UK for cycling training this weekend.  James is a member of the O' Leary Stone Cycling Club in Kanturk and has only been cycling competitively with the last year.  James competes at U16 level, even though he is only 14, He has won several awards in his young career.  He was awarded the Eamon Dunbar Memorial Cup, has won numerous medals at Cork County level.  In August James travelled to Letterkenny to the Internationals where he completed four gruelling stages and finished 15th out of 36 cyclists.  In Antrim, in the last race of the season, James finished 3rd in the national time trial.
